Hareline Coq De Leon Speckled Feathers
Ultimate in dry fly or modern nymph tailing. 12 feathers per pack
Coq de Leon feathers come from roosters bred in the Curueño Valley of León, Spain, a tradition dating back to the 17th century.
The two main breeds are Gallo de León Pardo (speckled browns, ginger, and red brown) and Gallo de León Indio (Dun) (shades of gray to rusty brown). These birds are specifically raised for their long, stiff, and glossy feathers, which are highly valued for fly tying due to their durability and natural movement in water.
