Hareline Variegated Chenille Medium Fly Tying

Variegated Medium Chenille by Hareline

This Medium Variegated Chenille is the most versatile size in the lineup and one of the most popular materials in fly tying. Hareline's Variegated Chenille features bold, two-tone coloration that creates natural segmentation and depth with every wrap. Soft and easy to work with, it’s a go-to for building buggy, high-contrast bodies that fish notice.

Best known as the body material for the iconic Pat’s Rubber Legs—arguably one of the most effective trout flies in the West—this chenille also shines in woolly buggers, sculpins, bass streamers, and steelhead patterns. This is a MUST-HAVE for all skill levels of tiers!
