X-Caddis Dry Fly

Often during a caddis hatch you will do better fishing patterns that fish just below the surface imitating an emerging bug trying to break through the surface tension. The X-Caddis is just like your elk hair caddis with a shuck attached and not hackle. If you are seeing fish rising to caddis and you can’t get them to take a dry try going just below the surface. Swing these towards rising fish or add as a dropper behind a bead head nymph.
